The Veterinary Specialty Centre of NL is hiring an Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian. VSCNL is Newfoundland and Labrador’s only veterinary specialty referral centre and 24 hours full service emergency clinic, and the 2019 CVMA Practice of the Year Award recipient. We have board certified surgeon and radiologist, a CT scanner, offer chemotherapy, run a canine blood donor program and have an ICU that is fully staffed 24 hours a day. When it comes to diagnosing and treating the pets of Newfoundland and Labrador, there is nothing we won’t do!
Our focus is on excellent patient and client care, and promoting a team approach with opportunities for both professional and personal growth. Opportunities exist within our hospital to gain additional skills in both medicine and surgery. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in emergency or those who have completed a rotating internship. Those board certified or eligible for board certification in ECC are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be eligible for full licensure in Newfoundland. Benefits include health, dental, CE allowance, paid professional dues, and a matching RRSP and pet insurance program. Salary negotiated based upon experience, compensation for relocation expenses is available. Positions available include working only day shifts, or working a combination of overnights and some days.
